Professional
Experience

Colan’s professional journey began with a degree in Physical Geography, sparking a lasting interest in environmental systems and urban resilience. He later completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA), strengthening his leadership at the intersection of sustainability, strategy, and enterprise. Over the years, he has built a career rooted in strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and digital innovation.

At Gerald and Rose, Colan oversees a diverse portfolio of clients including Warren Fahey AM, Joe Gersh AM, Julian Leeser MP, Gunggandji Aerospace, Catholic Schools NSW, NSW Health, and Blacktown City Council. Engagement

Colan is driven by a deep commitment to helping communities thrive – by connecting people, organisations, and ideas to create lasting social and environmental impact.

As Executive Director of Stormwater2030, he champions the shift from outdated stormwater systems to smarter, cleaner, and more resilient infrastructure across New South Wales. Working alongside councils, environmental organisations, and industry partners, he is reshaping how stormwater is planned, funded, and valued – turning what was once considered waste into a critical community resource.

As Chair of the Caroline Rose Charity, Colan leads strategic partnerships that give grassroots charities access to professional services, tools, and long-term support – helping them scale their impact where it’s needed most.

Colan is also a driving force in Sydney’s local business community. Through his involvement with chambers and partnerships – including the City of Sydney Chamber of Commerce, Pride Business Association, and the Social Enterprise Council of NSW & ACT – he actively supports economic resilience, inclusive growth, and collaboration between the private, public, and non-profit sectors.
